In support of our book, this website is the focal point for a global community of readers, information security practitioners, managers and academics with a professional interest in information security metrics in general, and the PRAGMATIC method in particular.

This section of the website is evolving. Right now, it is little more than a skeleton. It will take a while to develop additional materials and flesh it out, so please come back from time to time to see how it’s going. Better yet, get in touch if you would like to contribute content, suggest changes or get actively involved in developing and exploiting the PRAGMATIC approach.

Meanwhile, we will carry on building. For now, we offer the following:

A blog discussing and scoring the example metrics presented in the book, and occasionally raising other items of interest in this field
An FAQ on security metrics addressing issues that crop up repeatedly
A set of links to useful metrics resources on the Web
A discussion/support forum that will spring to life once the book is published and readers start grappling with real issues [by all means join up now and kick-start the dialog]

In due course, we also plan to develop:

A toolkit of useful metrics resources, such as the scoring spreadsheets discussed in the book
A range of metrics projects, case studies etc., involving the PRAGMATIC community
